Wellington’s Weather
Ranging over 90 per cent, and at periods up to 100 per cent., 'humidity was high in Wellington yesterday after an oppressive and sultry night. There was a warm rainfall, which should be most beneficial to plant growth and under the general conditions prevailing giving it a good start for the autumn. During the day, from 9.30 a.m. till 9 p.m., 88 points of rainfall were recorded in Wellington, bringing the total for the month to 4.89 inches. GALE IN AUCKLAND (By Telegraph,—Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, February 31. A north-easterly - gale which swept Auckland last night and this morning was accompanied by torrential rain, the fall for the 24 hours to 9 a.m. being 1.31 inches. The rain then eased off. The rainfall for the 21 days of February is 3.97 inches, being substantially greater than fhe total of 3.20 inches for the two preceding months. 1
