When the yacht Jewel capsized in Evans Bay on Saturday afternoon Mr. Winstanley, who was checking competitors in the Peck Shield race as they rounded the buoy off the Patent Slip wharf, went to the rescue in his launch Leona, picked up the four members of the yacht’s crew, and towed the yacht into the bay where she was beached.
