MAORI CHILD DROWNED

NEW PLYMOUTH, February 18.Joseph Harr.v Tamaki Maxwell, a seven-year-old Maori child, the son of Mr. a’ud Mrs. Harry Maxwell, was drowned in the Onaero River, seven miles north of Waitara, yesterday afternoon. The child had been in the company of a brother, aged 14, who left him alone for a short time, and on his return found the child’s body floating in a pool. ■
