After full investigation of the technical aspects of the problem, an Auckland radio manufacturing firm has offered to equip the police with an inter-communi-cation system between patrol cars and headquarters at a contract price of £IWU and to hand to the St. John Ambulance the difference between this figure and the actual costs. The transport committee of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which has interested itself in the matter, reported to the. council of the chamber recently that this offer had been communicated to the Minister in charge of police.
