Exhibition In Motor Plant Canteen When a garden produce exhibition and competition for amateurs was held by General Motors’, sports and social club on Saturday there were some 150 entries of vegetables and flowers. The show was held in the canteen at the motor plant in Pe’tone. The judges were Messrs. »»• Smith and S. T. Wakelin. The General Motors 1944 Cup for the entrant who secured the most, poiuts over the three shows being held in 1944 was won conditionally by Mr. H. Ixinge. The McNamara Cup for the most points secured in the vegetable and flower sections in last Saturday’s show went to Mr. H. Kinge also. Mr. T. Faheys £l/1/prize for the best exhibit in the vegetable section was won by Mr. L August, who also won the C. W. Baker 10/6 prize for the most points secured by a club member in the vegetable section. In the flower section, Mr. J. A, Wilcox won the C W Baker 10/6 prize for the most points secured by a club member. Cluo funds were greatly augmented by an auction sale which was held after the show. , . , The next shows will be the spring show in September and the rose show in October.
