"It’s amazing to me the amount ot enthusiastic talk that goes on round this table about election time, but I want to see something done.” said Cr. R. 11. Nnnmo at last night’s Wellington City Council meeting, when he criticized the lack of provision of proper industrial areas. The mayor, Mr. Hislop: You've been here three years. Cr. Nimmo: If I did stand again I hope I would not indulge in the amount of “duckshoving” that is going on here at the moment, Cr. J. D. Sievwright asked if Cr. Nimmo was in order to use the term “duckshoving” at the council table. The mayor replied that he would have to know the meaning of the term before "he could give a ruling. It was not obscene.
