NEW GOVERNOR FOR GIBRALTAR
(British Official Wireless.) - _ RUGBY, February 15. Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas Ralph .Eastwood- has been appointed Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Gibraltar in succession to Lieutenant-General Sir IMnson MacFarlane, who was recently appointed Deputy President of. the Allied Government Control Commission in Italy. Following Dunkirk, General Eastwood was Director-General of the Home Guard and later supervised the battle training of some of the troops who triumphed in North Africa.
