WEDDING
Hayward—Clark
At St. David’s Church, Petone, the wedding took place recently of Jeannie Fulton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Clark, Petone, and Edward Noad, son of Air. and Mrs. P. Hayward, Dunedin. The Rev. K. H. Evans officiated. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a trained gown of white brocaded satin with fitting sleeves and long moulded bodice. Her tulle veil, which was embroidered with Scotch thistles, was attached to the head with velvet gardenias and she carried a shower bouquet of delicate white flowers. The bridesmaids ,were Miss Joan White, a cousin, and Miss Shona McLeod. Their pomegranate coloured frocks were made similarly to that of the bride but featured puff sleeves, and they wore haloes of flowers and carried toning bouquets. Mr. Peter Hayward, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. Rae Clark, the bride’s brother, was groomsman.
The bride's mother received the guests at the Alasonic Hall wearing an air force blue ensemble under a darker fine woollen coat and a straw hat to tone. Airs. Hayward, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a navy wool suit and straw hat. The bride travelled in a grey pin-striped Worsted suit with dusky pink blouse, a black hat and accessories.
