This Year’s American Plane Production (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 13.. United States aircraft production this year will exceed last year’s record by 40 per cent., and the year will witness a continuing Shift to the production of heavier bombers and long-range fighters, Mr. Joseph D. Keenan, a vice-chairman of the War Production Board, announced today, says a Washington message., “We must deliver,” he said, “more than 100.000, compared with 86,000 last year, and these planes , will average 10,0001 b.. compared' with 86001 b. last year. More than 75 per cent, of the planes are for combat purposes, and trainer plane production will be cut by about 50 per cent.”
