Mr. Justice Johnston and Mr. Justice Blair have returned to Wellington. Mr. F. E. Sutton, who has been mayor of Lyttelton for 15 years, Ims announced that be will not seek re-election. Mr. Justice Finlay has left _ Wellington for Wanganui, and Mr. Justice Smith has left for Napier. 'Die Rev. A. Astor. Rabbi of Auckland, who came to Wellington specially to conduct tlio funeral service of the late Rabbi Solomon Katz, will leave again for the north today. Mr. C. 11. W. Nicholls's work for education was the subject of appreciative comment at last night's meeting of the Wellington School Committees and Educational Association. A motion recording the fact was carried unanimously.
