In spite of travel restrictions and the tact that there were no special trains, there was a good attendance which enjoyed some excellent racing under ideal conditions, the weather being fine and the course in splendid order after rain earlier in the week. The totalizator handled £36,803/10/-, compared with £37,369 last year, an Increase of £1434/10/-. Fortune's Smile, who later won the Geyser Hack Handicap, was a creditable fourth, followed by Centennial, La Fillette, Betterman and Sir Cameron. • The topweigbt. Neenah, put up a good performance to win the Tourist Handicap. After following Powys, Dinky Di aud Hunting King into the straight Neenah made a strong run to win by half a length from Bonny Pay, who made a determined effort on the rails after being back in the rear early.
