HEAVY FLOODS SWEEP TRANSVAAL
(Received February 13, 9 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG, February 12. The worst floods for 10 years are at present sweeping down the Transvaal’s high veldt. Millions of gallons of muddy .water demolished houses, carried away ' live otock and crops, and also some of the richest of the Union’s soil. Many farmers are ruined. Seventeen inches of rain were recorded in Johannesburg in Jour days
