OBITUARY
Mr. Joseph Fitzsimmons
The death occurred on Sunday last at his home, No. 5 Macfarlane Street. Wellington, of Mr. Joseph Fitzsimmons, at the age of 74 years. Mr. Fitzsimmons, who was born on the West Coast, joined the staff of the Bank of New Zealand at an early age. and was manager of the Te Aro branch of that bank when he retired from active work over a decade ago. Mr. Fitzsimmons leaves a widow, two sons and two daughters. The sons are Mr. George Fitzsimmons, Auckland, and Mr. William Fitzsimmons, Whangarei. The daughters are Mesdames C. H. Devery, Hataitai, and Mrs. Elizabeth Gell, who resided with her father at Macfarlane Street. The late Mrs. T. G. Macarthy-Reid. Wellington, was a sister, and the late Mr. Edward Fitzsimmons, formerly a well-known representative cricketer for Wellington, was a brother.
