Control Of More Of Southern Italy i LONDON, February 10. The' Allies have handed,over to the Badoglio Government thp control of new areas in Italy, bringing the total population tinder Italian control to 10,090,000, says Reuter’s correspondent at advanced headquarters in Italy. The Badoglio Government now controls the territory south of the northern borders of Salerno, Potenza, and Bari provinces, and also Sicily.'- Officers of the Allied Control Commission will advise Italian officials. and the Amgot officials will be withdrawn. ! . The Badoglio Government already administers Sardinia and the Apulian provinces. A later message from London says that two conditions of the change are that the territory will be administered by Italian Government officials who favour the Allies and that there is no implied commitment of, the Aliles to permanent support of the present regime. Amgot is retaining full military rights iu the territory, and it will be easy to regain authority if anything should go wrong. . / RESTORATION FOR JEWS LONDON, February 10. King Victor Emmanuel has signed a decree deleting ail anti-Semitic laws from the Italian Statute Book, and restoring Jewish Government and municipal employees to positions.
