Draw For Centre Events
Draws have been made by the Wellington Bowling Centre for its championship tournaments, colloquially called-champion of champion matches, the first of which will be the singles next Wednesday. Only one elub is missing from each tournament. In the singles it is Plimmerton and in the pairs and fours Paekakariki. The singles will be- played at the Victoria green. The ,-llrst. round will begin nt 9 a.m. and the final at 4.30 p.m. The lirst round will lie as follows: Thoriidoli v. Johnsonville, Hutt v. island Bay, Olaki v. Newtown, Wellington v. Central. Otiikl Railway v. Parnpiiruumu Beach, Eastbourne v. Petone, Kitrori v. Lyall Hay. The following clubs, whieh have byes in the tirsl round, will play as- follows in the second round, which is to begin at 10.-15 b.in.: Winner of Karorl-Lyal] Bay game v. Kelburn, Victoria v, Paeliakariki, Upper Hutt v. Jlatiiitai. Woburn v. Porii-ua,'Sea-toun v. Kliandallah. Tlie pairs are to be played at the Newtown green, the first three rounds being played on .February 23 and .the seiniliunls and final on February 2-1. Thq draw for the lirst round, whieh is-to begin at\!l a.m.. is as follows: Kelburn v. Karori. Victoria v. Parapai-aumu Beach, Woburn v. Lyall Bay, Thorndon v. Johnsonville, Petone v. Scatoun. Porirua v. Plimmerton, Otaki v. Eastbourne. The clubs with lives in the lirst round will play as follows in the second round, beginning at 1 p.m,-. Winner of Otaki-Eastbourne game v. Island Bay, Hataitai v. Otaki Railway. Hutt v. Wellington, Central v. Khandiil.ali Newtown v. Upper Hurt. The fours, at the Wellington green, also will be spread over two days, three rounds being played on Marell 1 and the semiimals and dual on March 2. The draw is as follows:—First round (8 30 a.m.): Upper Hutt v. Petone. Seatoun v. Plimmerton, Victoria v. Island Bay Central v. Thorndon, Otaki Railway v. Khantiallah. Wellington v. Porirua, Woburn v. Kelburn. The teams which have lives in tlle found play In the second round as 10110w5:—12.45 p.m.: Winner of Wo-burn-Kelbui’n game v. Nowtown, Otaki v. Hataitai. 8.30 a.m.: Paraparaumu Beach Lyall bay, Karori v. Eastbourne, Johnsonville v. Hutt. The draw for the junior singles on March 8 has not been made yet.
