YOUNGER MEMBERS’ PARTY

Younger members of, the Victoria League in Wellington staged an oldfashioned party l in a modern setting in the league rooms last night. The guests who numbered more than 100, included officers of the Allied forces and special guests were Mrs. J, A. Doctor, the president, and Airs. A. A. Cramond, a vicepresident. The party was given to help provide costumes for the league concert party, which regularly gives . entertainments at the various camps in the Wellington. district. The girls have specialized in presenting Maori items: and they hope soon to be able to acquire the Maori piu-pius that they need in their forthcoming show. All kinds of “crazy” games and a mystery auction were included on the programme and the committee provided a savoury supper. Those who arranged the evening were Mesdames A. MacKinnon, Henley, B.
