LONDON, February 9. General Montgomery, travelling in a streamlined train, Ims completed a tour of Britain in which he saw and addressed most of the troops under his command, says the ‘‘Daily Mail.” The train, which carried no special markings, had Royal priority.

Radio communication was maintained day aud night with his headquarters. Dispatch riders brought any documents too secret for radio transmission.

General Montgomery, invariably wearing his battledress an'd beret, addressed assemblies of troops as many as four times daily. In addition he conferred with members of staffs. Wherever the train went word was quickly passed round: “Monty’s here.”
