LABOURER REMANDED
Alleged Interference With Justice
On a charge of wilfully attempting to obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice by attempting to persuade, a juryman by asking him to take a lenient view for accused in a case of alleged abortion. John Barrett, aged 64, labourer, appeared yesterday in tbe Magistrates’ Court, AVcllingtqn, and was remanded till February 16. Mr. J. o’Donova.n appeared for Barrett and bail was allowed by the magistrate. Air. Stout, in the sum of £3OO, with two sureties of £lao each.
