AN EXPLANATION
Mr. Clive Drummond Ims called attention to variations between the second paragraph of his statement in reply to the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Holland. as published yesterday, am! the statement, as originally made by him. He stales that ifi two instances the word "his" has been .substituted for “the” iu his references to the use of the Goebbels technique at political meetings., This would have the result, of applying Mr. Drummond's statements to Mr. Holland’s own meetings instead of to political meetings in general. The statement, as published in “The Dominion” was an expansion of the contracted version supplied by the Press Association in telegraphic form, the words of which Mr. Drummond makes complaint having been inserted in the filling-in to publishable form.
