Polling- Day Tomorrow
BOOTHS IN WELLINGTON
The elections for (he four Maori seals in. the House of Representatives will take place tomorrow. The poll will close at 5 p.m. AVellington is in the IV estern Maori electorate, which has over 200 polling booths. The AVellington polling place will be at St. Paul’s Schoolroom, Sydney Street East, and there will also be booths at: the Labour Hall, Petone: St. Paul’s Schoolroom. AVaiwetu: Public Works Office, Trantham; and the meeting-house, Porirua. Facilities,for postal and absent voting are available to Maoris, and Maori members of the armed forces have also had the opportunity to vote before the day of the poll. Six candidates are contesting the AV estern Maori seat. There is an official Labour Party candidate, a National Party candidate, a Democratic Labour Party candidate, two unofficial Labour candidates and one unofficial Democratic Labour candidate.
