Railway bus-drivers of M ellingtrni and the Hutt, who are asking for double pay lor Sunday work, were represented at a deputation which waited on the general manager of railways, Mr. E. Casey, yesterday morning.

The general secretary ot the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. Mr. L. Mcllvride, who accompanied the deputation, put forward the men’s case for extra pay, and his remarks were supported by Mr. A. B. Skilton, chairman of the road services branch of the A.S.R.S. Other members of the deputation also had an opportunity to put forward other angless of the men's ease. In reply. Mr. Casey said that the busdrivers were working under the passenger transport award, which was being adhered to faithfully by the department.
