Late News NAVAL ATTACK ON CONVOY
Six Ships Sunk SUCCESS NEAR TUNISIA LONDON, December 3. An Admiralty communique announces that on Tuesday night our light naval forces engaged an enemy convoy bound for Tunisia and sank four ships of the convoy and two of the escorting destroyers. Aircraft during the day had'sighted the convoy, and contact was made by our force shortly ’after midnight. A spirited engagement followed. The British force consisted of three cruisers and two destroyers. It suffered no casualties or damage in the action, but later every dive-bomber and torpedo planes attacked the ships as they were returning to their base, and sank a destroyer. Most of its personnel were saved. \
