Scots Defeat Marlborough The annual match between Scots College and Marlborough College first, til teens was played at Scots College yesterday morning, and resulted, after ah interesting game, in a win for Scots by 25 points to 6. In the lirst bait two evenly-matched packs OE forwards gained equal shares of the ball, and the spell ended with the score at eight points to six in Scots’ favour. The second half saw the Seots team take charge of the game, and good work by the forwards gave a tine set of backs opportunities to play brilliant football, MacMorran, at first live-eighths, was particularly Impressive, and initiated several tine movements. The loss of Lublow after the lirst spell was fell by the visitors, who fought gamely to the end. Tries for Seots were scored by MacMorran (2). Fanseloiv, Hirschfeld, and Evans, with Phillips converting two tries and kicking two penalties. For Marlborough, Stewart scored a try, and Jackson kicked a penalty. , After the match the Martell Cup was banded over to the Seots captain by Mr. Allport., manager of the Marlborough team. .
