NURSERY FUNDS NEEDED
An appeal stressing the urgency ami importance of the functions of the residential nursery in Owen Street and its Deed for financial support, so that tuither advances toward the helping ot mothers with wartime respousibili ies could be accomplished, was made by Mis. A. D. Gibbons, president of the Klian-dallah-Ngaio branch of the X) omen» National Reserve, when members were entertained at her home m Kh.indalLi yesterday afternoon. .. Guests were as-ked to help indiv iduallj, in order that the nursery, which supervises the welfare of eome hundreds <>l babies, would maintain its high standard of efficiency. A musical programme, arranged by Mrs. M. Duncan, was presented Mrs. Duncan and Miss Olga Burton sang, and Miss Dorothy Seymour gave elocutionary items, the accompanist being Mrs. Charles McDonald. The committee served a home-made afternoon tea.
