Helmore, were present at a performance given by tlie ’Wellington Repertory Theatre Society in the Town Hall this evening. July 19. Their Excellencies tlie GovernorGeneral and Lady Newall attended Divine service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul this morning. . This afternoon the Governor-General received Sir Harry Batterbee, United Kingdom High Commissioner.
.Mr. H. McDougall, district E.P.S. warden in Northland, lias received a maritime appointment, aud his place ns district, warden has been taken by Mr. L. A. Chapman.
