A NEW REVUE

Repertory Concert Party’s

Bright Show

Members of the Wellington Repertory Concert' Party have scored another success with their Christmas show for men of the camps. It was presented to a full house and a preview performance in St. Francis Hall last night. Entitled, “Morning, Noon and Night,’ ’the entertainment is a musical revue incorporating attractive ballets, tuneful melodies and song-hits, specialty numbers and burlesque sketdies. The chorus and ballet gave colourful joint numbers and some clever tap items were included by the ballet. Violine and saxophone solos, vocal solos, duets and dance duos helped to provide a sparkling and up-to-the minute revue, which doubtless will be as popular with men in camp as previous ones , have been. ’ The girls wore a wide range of pretty frocks and ensembles, from brief frilled ballet dresses to glamorous Mexican costumes worn with fringed shawls. White suits with scarlet tophats and white and scarlet garden party frocks made a bright note of colour for the opening of the second half, entitled “The Garden Party. ■ Other numbers of special interest were “Sunrise Serenade,” “Down Argentine Way,” the tango, “I Kiss Your Little Hand,” and the violin solo, The Canary,” “The Sleepy Lagoon” and ‘ lit Happened in Kaloha” earned warm applause, and the finale, “Happiness Ahead,” found the full company on the stage for a rousing number. The revue was again produced by Mr. Eric Harrison. Members of the company were: Ballet, M. Vause, V. Smith, J. Gerrard, P. McKinnon, J. Stroude, J. Kelly; chorus, A. Edmonds, P. Connell, M. Walsh, P. Patterson, J. Fairhall, G. Robyns, E. Miller, P. Benham, N. Jamieson, J. Olliver, B. McLean, B. and P. Maddock, M. McMillan, N. Saunders, G. Fairhall, M. Davis, the Wright Sisters, N. Horton, Harry Painter, I. Spidy, S. Reynolds. Members of the orchestra were: G. Vickers, I. Lockwood, E. Bohanna, R. Dledrick, C. Antonelli. The wardrobe was in charge of Susie Painter and Paddy Gibbons, Mr. J. Smith and Mr. A. Parker were responsible for the lighting and Mr. R. 'Taylor was stage manager.
