Popularity Of Airmail Letter Card “Judging by sales over the first four days of its issue the special airmail letter-card introduced for corresponding with prisoners of war interned abroad is going to prove, a popular means of communication,” said the Postmaster-General, Mr. Webb, yesterday. “We had expected a big demand and my department had obtained a very large supply of the cards, but within three days of their being placed on sale it was necessary to order further printings.” Mr. Webb urged upon senders the need for writing their messages clearly. He said that reports received by the Post Office on the subject of the prisoner-of-war post had emphasized the importance of assisting the enemy censors. “It> is, of course, to the advantage of the prisoners, top,’’ added the Minister, "for the more quickly the letters can be censored the sooner the addressees will receive them.”
