BANDS ASSOCIATION
Officers elected at the recent annual meeting of the Wellington Bauds’ Association are :—Patron, the mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop; president, Mr. J. W. Andrews ; vice-presidents, mayors of Petone and Upper Hutt; secretary, Mr. J. C. King; treasurer, Mr. A. Marshall; auditor, Mr. B, O. Petersen; delegates to executive, Messrs. Lee Hastings and McGuire. Mr. C. Patchett and Mr. H. Baker were elected to life membership. The question of holding a local contest was referred to the executive. A resolution was unanimously carried recording appreciation of the services of Mr. Gladstone Hill during' bis term of office. Messrs. J. J. Drew, E. Baker, and T. Gray were elected honorary members.
