TAUMATE CLEARING SALE

MASTERTON, May 16. A herd of cows and heifers, offered on account of Mr. J. 11. Proctor, was forward at a clearing sale conducted at Taumate yesterday. The cows were in good condition, and averaged £B/15/6. The tops made up to £lO/15/-. The two-vear-springing Jersey heifers were a nice lot, and sold at up to £9/5/-, with an average of £B/4/-. A line of exceptionally good heifer calves realized £4/17/6.
