Late Rates Maintained At Feilding Sale

EWES IN HEAVY SUPPLY Dominion Special Service. FEILDING, May 10. Values in all sections of the Feilding sale today were steady at late rates. Another good clearance at auction resulted. Fat sheep : Ewes were in heavy supp y, and whereas good quality lines sold freely, the demand for unfinished lots was slow. Wethers and lambs were unchanged. A good yarding of sheep was submitted at the Dannevirke stock sale today. In view of next week’s cattle fair, only a small yarding of cattle came forward. There was a good attendance of buyers, with Manawatu well represented. Competition was keen, and late rates were maintained. Prices are: — Sheep: Fat lambs, to 23/6; fat wethers, 19/10 to 24/-; fat ewes, 10/- to 14/9 ; fat b.f. two-tooths, 23/3; wether lambs, 12/- to 15/3; ewe lambs, 13/- to lu/6; b f lambs, 13/-; two-tooth ewes, small, r.w. S.D. r.. 23/5. Cattle: Potter cows. £2/10/-; empty heifers. £2/15/-. Pigs and Poultry. Only a small yarding of pigs and poultry were submitted at R. Roake and Son s yards today. Prices for both were on a par with recent sales.
