Great Need To Carry On
In Wartime WAIPAWA MEETING Dominion Special Service. WAIPAWA. May 7. “War is apt to interfere, seriously with the activities of many organizations, but the work of the ‘Plunket Society is of such a nature that there is even greater need in time of war to carry it on, said Mr. Harker at the annual meeting of the Waipawa branch of the Plunket Society. He told members that their task would probably be harder in the coming year, but he felt that they would triumph over the difficulties. ■ It was reported that the funds of the branch had increased by about fIOO. The Plunket ball had realized £2O/3/6. the bazaar £47/1/5, the Tikokino bazaar fob 4/(5. and the Elsthorpe effort £l4/1:)/-. The following officers were elected : President, Mrs. E.
