U-Boat Explanation

While the forthcoming announcement on the new monthly basis of merchant shipping losses by enemy action must be awaited for an indication of the progress of the campaign against the German illegal sea warfare, it may not be without significance that the German Vice-Admiral Pfeiffer has been at pains to explain in advance that the falling off in the total of tonnage sunk by U-boats is “due to German submarine craft having changed the region of their operations.”
