LONDON, April 27

During the period from dusk on April 19 to dusk on April 26. thirteen German aircraft were destroyed over Britain, 11 of them at night. No British machines were lost over Britain. Over Europe, excluding the Balkans, three German aircraft were shot down and 17 British lost on offensive operations. Two enemy planes were destroyed by ships between these dates. In the Mediterranean and African area the Axis lost 50 machines in the air and five on the ground at a cost to the British and Empire Air Forces of 18. In addition to the above figures the Navy accounted for six Axis aircraft in this theatre. The figures given for the Mediterranean include only those reported up to yesterday.
