Marked Rise In Values In Dunedin

The Dunedin Stock Agents’ and Woolbrokers’ Association reports that at today's rabbitskin sale a large offering was submitted of approximately 36 tons. There was a good attendance of buyers, and from the opening of the wale to the close keen competition was forthcoming for all descriptions, brokers making good clearances. It was expected that an exceptionally good market would be met with as at present, exporters are holding good orders on United States account. This was fully realized and values showed a marked appreciation, the rise being from Sd. to 14d. per lb. The" official range of prices is as follows :—Small, 36ifd. to 41. Jd. per lb.; runners, 44 Jd. to 4Sd.; light racks, 52d, to 55d.; prime racks, 51 jd. to 53d.; summers, 43d. to 46jd.; dawny autumns, 54d. to 56d.; first early autumns, 56d. to 59d.; winter bucks, spotted, 90d. to winter does, spotted, to 72-Jd.; outgoing winter bucks, 68d. to 87fd.: outgoing winter does, 54d. to 58Jd.; spring bucks, 52d. to 63d.; spring does. 44d. to 46d.; first milky, 47id. to 47|d.: milky, 43d. to 44Jd.; summer broken. 434 d. to 46J<1.; fawns. 40d. to 51d.: summer black, 41d. to 44 Jd.; hareskins. 303. to 31Jd.; horsehair. 29d. to 344 d.; second ferrets, 2/9 to 3/1; third ferrets, 4d. to 1/1; first ferrets, none offering.
