THREE MONTHS’ JAIL FOR THEFT

A sentence of three months’ imprisonment was imposed on John James Healey, need 31, cabinetmaker, who pleaded guilty before Mr. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday morning, to a charge of stealing 11 5/- in cash and 17 petrol coupons the property of Johanna Morrison, in Wellington, on March 1. Chief-Detective P. Doyle said that Healey was boarding at Mrs. Morrisons residence, and had stolen the money and coupons from her purse.
