Vice-Regal. The Governor-General anil Lady Newall, attended by Wing Commander H C. Bevan and Captain C. J. Hol-land-Martin, A.D.C., Will return to Wellington by the Main Trunk express this afternoon. Ministerial. The Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, Prime-Min-ister, will return to Wellington today from Auckland. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason, AttorneyGeneral, returne'd to Wellington yesterday from Auckland.

Mr. Cecil Mark, general manager of United Artists (A’sia) Pty., Ltd., is in Wellington.

Air. R. Girling Butcher, Wellington, Inspector of Explosives, is visiting Auckland.

Dr. D. Miller, of the Cawthron Institute, left Wellington by last night’s steamer for Nelson.

Mr. Donald Brunton, of the Vacuum Oil Co., Hastings, has been transferred to the Dannevirke branch of the firm.

Mr. K. L. Hoar, formerly of Hastings, is now a member of the Justice Department, Wellington. Air. W. F. Bull, Canadian Trade Commissioner, and Airs. Bull have returned to Wellington from Auckland

Captain F. E. Tether, marine superintendent of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has returned to Wellington from the north. Air. J. Christoffiel, jun., New Plymouth, has been appointed a member of the Taranaki land district revaluation committee.

Colonel the Hon. G. J. Smith, a member of the Senate of the University of New Zealand, was in Wellington yesterday. Air. H. E. Combs, M.P., was a passenger in the steamer express which arrived at Wellington yesterday from the South Island.

Mr. J. D. Sievwrlght, Wellington, was a passenger in last night’s inter island steamer express from Wellington.

Air. D. I. Macdonald, secretary of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation, returned to Wellington yesterday by steamer express from the south.

The Hon. H. L. Anthony, Australian Assistant Treasurer and .Minister of Commerce, who is visiting New Zealand, returned to Wellington from the south yesterday. He was accompanied by the Australian Trade Comtnis sioner, Air. C. E. Critchley.
