NEW NAZI FEELER IN YUGOSLAVIA
Audience With Regent (Received March 3, 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 3.
■ The Zazreb correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says it is authoritatively stated that the German Minister in Yugoslavia, Herr von Herren, immediately after Bulgaria had signed the Vienna pact, obtained an audience with the Regent, Prince Paul. Herren is reported to have informed Prince Paul of Herr von Ribbentrop’s views about Yugoslavia co-operating in the new order, specially hi the light of Bulgaria’s signature. The German stated that Yugoslavia’s present mobilization was costing £418,000 a day, and he then alluded- to the strength of the German arms in Hungary, Bulgaria and Rumania. Herren asked what Yugoslavia's attitude would be if she was formally invited to join the Tripartite Pact. Prince Paul did not answer definitely, but indicated that Yugoslavia might favourably consider an invitation in the near future.
