GIFT OF £870 MADE
Counties’ Association To Patriotic Funds
A cheque for £B7O for the relief of, distress overseas has been received by the National Patriotic Fund Board from the New Zealand Counties’ Association.
This cheque was handed do the board by the chairman of the Counties’ Association, Mr. C. J. Talbot, who stated that a total of £990 had been donated by the county councils, £l2O having been paid in direct to provincial patriotic councils. Mr. Talbot also stated that further amounts were expected to be received from other counties, so that the total contribution to patriotic funds from them would exceed four figures.
