Canterbury Teams For Wilding Shield
The lawn tenuis .contest for the Mild ins Shield is to be played between Canterbury (holders) and Wellington, on the Miramar courts on Friday and Satuidav of this week. .n u . The Canterbury men s team will be. - C Angas (captain), IL G. lattinson, 11. A. Barnett, C. F. Penfold. Ihe order ot the doubles will be: C. Angus and IL G. Pattinson, H. A. Barnett and C. 1- Penfold As A. D. Brown is not available for Canterbury. it is considered that Wellington’s chances of regaining the Shield are considerably increased. The Canterbury women’s team will be: Miss T. Poole (captain). Miss J. Senior, Miss K. Armstrong. Miss 11. Elsom. The doubles order will be: Misses T. Poo.e and K. Armstrong. Misses J. Senior and H. Elsom. This team is not quite t‘« same as that which recently lost the Nunneley Casket to Wellington. Miss Elsom replaces Miss Chester, and it is considered that a closer match than, the last Casket match will result.
