A notice of motion by tlie Hamilton library, that, tlie question of formulating a scheme for indenting books and magazines for all libraries belonging to Hie association to be referred to the council for consideration and report was carried. A further motion was carried that in view of the difficulties the association had bad in obtaining satisfactory buying terms with booksellers, the conference request the municii -i 1 conference to consider the matter’.' !i a view to obtaining a definite contract with the Now Zealand Booksellers' Association.
