Woman Who Kept Ringing Ex-Employer
Corrie Thompson was fined £2 with costs 10/- by Mr. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, on a charge of mischievously using the telephone service for the purpose of irritating J. V. Saunders. Detective-Ser-geant W. McLennan, who prosecuted, said that defendant had been employed by Mr. Saunders, who had dismissed her. She imagined she had a grievance against, him. and over a period of months kept ringing him up. When he answered the. telephone, she would hang up without speaking.
