TONIGHT'S BALL

A final reminder is given of tonight's carnival “Ball For AH" at. the Town Hall, in aid of the Fighting Services Queen. Admission tickets for both dancers and onlookers will be on sale tri the main entrance doors. The committee wishes it known that the dress rules will be strictly enforced, namely, evening dress or dinner frocks for girls and service uniform, dinner jacket, or dark lounge suit for men. South Taranaki is making preparations to bold a queen carnival. Miss Cynthia Simmons was nominated as the Patea Queen; Miss Ivy Gibbons was nominated for Alton and Harleyville; and Miss Alice Chamberlain for Whenuakura .and Ohakn.
