TRAINING BRITISH PARACHUTISTS

LONDON, February 19. In connexion with the recent, parachute raid in Italy by British troops it is now disclosed that British parachutists have been in training since last summer. An agency correspondent describes today a visit to a camp where training was in progress. He saw out of a huge plane a number of parachutists descend witli elaborate equipment. All the men being trained volunteered for the work, and after selection tire put through a most gruelling test. Their instruction includes intensive physical training and unarmed combat, and in the initial stages of training platforms of various heights tire used.
