MAIL FOR OVERSEAS
Forwarding Of Duplicates
A statement that a scheme hud been formulated by tlie Post Otlice whereby senders of letters to overseas destinations could bo assured that duplicate copies of such letters would not go forward by the same mail as the originals was made yesterday by the PostnmsteiGeneral, Mr. Webb. The sender must post the original and duplicate copies of his letter in separate envelopes, which must be endorsed “original ttnd "duplicate" respectively. The two letters must be sent by registered post and be posted at the same time so that tl.ev would go forward to the final dispatching point together. Mr. Webb added that the present diUleulties in respect of shipping and the inability of tlie Post Oflice to advertise tile dispatch of overseas mails had caused some ineonvenieiiee. particularly Io business firms, and he fell sure (hilt the introduction of this new scheme would be appreciated.
