National Art Gallery A meeting of the board of trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum was held on Tuesday, the mayor of Wellington, Mr. Hislop, presiding. A welcome was extended to Messrs. L. W . Hunt and M. Fraser, uewly-appoiuted members of the board. . The following motion was passed • ‘•That this board of trustees desires to express its deep regret at the passing away of the late Mr. Thomas 1‘ orsyth. formerly a member of the board of trustees, mid to place on record its appreciation of the valuable work and the keen interest of Mr. Forsyth in the proceedings of the trustees. Also that the board expresses its sincerest sympathy with the members of his family.” The gift of a mezzotint by Malcolm Osborne. ILA., of the fourth Duke of Devonshire, presented by the Duke ot Devonshire, through tlie High Coinniissumei' for New Zealand. was gratefully accepted. Mr. E, W.
