Wellington Tournament All events in the -Wellington croquet tournament, with the exception of the championship doubles, were conduil.d yesterday in dull and windy weather. A large crowd watched the excellent cioquct i,laved by all the finalists. The most important match ot the day was the play-off for the Wellington open championship. between E. A eitch and Mrs. Toms. The first game of he lubbu was won by Mrs. Toms, who played brilliantly to go out with a score ol In the second game Veitch turned the tables, and, playing two all-round breaks, finished willi a score of 26-1. Hie thud ■qime was an excellent one, both having opportunities. Eventually Veitch, timsuing a gooil break, won by 19 points. The following are the list ot winners: Open chainpionship: E.
