TOWNSWOMEN IN MASTERTON
At the first meeting this year of the Townswomen’s Guild in Masterton, members discussed special arrangements for an effort to be made on behalf of the Nursing Queen in the Masterton Queen Carnival. This will be held on February 2(5 in the Town Hall at .12.45 p.m. There will be cakes, sweets, Howers, produce, a white elephant stall, and an arts and crafts, floral and curio display. There will also be a baby show and Mesdames Coleman and Robertson will be in charge. Raffles for a cake given by Mrs. Buller and for a rocking horse given by Mrs. Harrington will also be held. There will be no charge for admission and afternoon tea will be procurable for one shilling.
Nominations were received for the office of president and committee. The voting will take place on March 12. Further nominations are to be handed in to the vice-president, treasurer or secretary.
