APPEAL UPHELD

R. G. Howell Cleared The appeal of apprentice jockey 11. G. Howell has been upheld by the Racing Conference judges. Howell was suspended for two months by the judicial committee of the Wellington Racing Club for careless riding on Rakahanga in the Telegraph Handicap on the opening day of the recent summer meeting. He appealed to the Wellington District Committee which reduced the terra of suspension to one month. It was against this decision that. Howell appealed to the conference. His deposit was also refunded.
