R.A.F. OFFENSIVES
Night And Day Raids On Continent iHrillMi Official Wireless ) RUGBY. February 12. An Air Ministry communique dealing witli last, night’s R.A.F. activities states that, despite a marked deterioration in the weather, aircraft of the Bomber Command and the Coastal Command carried out attacks on taigets in north-west Germany, Holland, Norway and Denmark. The force attacked industrial targets at Bremen, causing tires and explosions. Hanover was also visite(l ; fuel being added to tlie flames kindled on the previous night. At Rotterdam bombs caused a heavy explosion at an oil installation. In the early hours of darkness aircraft of the Coastal Command attacked shipping at Kristiansand, in southern Norway, and the seaplane base at Thisted, in Jutland. Throughout yesterday, in addition to an offlensive sweep over northern France, a large number of patrols was flown bv aircraft of the Fighter Command. Very few enemy aircraft were
seen. , From all these operations three ancraft are missing, including two fighters. . An Air Ministry communique status that there was very slight enemy activiiv in some parts of England last mgm. A'few bombs fell in south-east England and houses were damaged and u small number of people injured. An enemy bomber was destroyeti iliis morning in East .Scotland.
