SICILIAN AIR BASES BOMBED
R.A.F. Starts Big Blaze

RUGBY, February 12
A Royal Air Force (Middle East.) communique states: "The Royal Air Force carried out successful raids ou the aerodromes at Comiso and Catania, Sieilv, during last night. Aircraft arrived over the target at intervals of 20 minutes, and raided for five hours, dropping many high-explosive incendiary bombs.
•‘At least four enemy aircraft were destroyed on the ground at Catania, and in addition large fires were caused which were visible over GO miles away. A hangar received a direct bit, resulting in a heavy explosion. At Comiso fires were started which burnt for a considerable period. "All our aircraft returned safely.”
